Protection relays UTX line

UTX universal devices ensure swift, selective and reliable fault clearance in case of any type of short circuits. Full range of types of universal terminals UTX is used to protect the fields working with the neutral point in any configuration. Suitable types of protection relays are intended to operate in the following CB bays: feeding bay, feeding HV/MV power transformer, auxiliary voltage MV/LV transformer, overhead line, underground cable, capacitor bank, bus coupler, VT section, breaker failure protection and busbar protection. Reliability of the protection mechanism is ensured by the precise and quick measurement of short-circuit impedance. The UTX protection relays can calculate the distance to the location where the short circuit occurred.

The most important additional functionality of 3rd series compared to the 2nd series is the implementation of the IEC 61850 protocol. In addition UTX 3rd series has a revised front-panel (display, keyboard) and is equipped with the relay PAX package (package of 4 powerful and quick exits) as a standard.
The devices are equipped with A/C transducers. As a standard, they are equipped with network transmission interfaces Ethernet and TCP/IP and optionally fibre optic communication interfaces for TRbus, AAbus and IEC 870-5-103 protocols.
Optionally, the serial transmission interface of CCBus engineering channel may be lead out to the device front panel. The devices can be equipped with CANBus interface (2 channels) for a superior system. Moreover, UTX line series 2 cooperate with Xserver concentrator, which may be implemented with DNP3.0 protocol.
